Meet our Elders:
Duan Du Toit
Duan du Toit was ordained as the Lead Pastor of Mountain View Baptist Church at the beginning of 2024. He initially studied to be an Industrial Engineer but after a few years in the manufacturing environment, he answered the call to become a preacher of the gospel. He went on to study a Bachelor of Theology at Christ Seminary in Polokwane. After pastoring for a few years, Duan planted Houtkruis Bybelkerk in Centurion, Pretoria, with another full-time vocational pastor. Two years later he accepted the call to lead the flock at Mountain View Baptist Church. He and his wife, Helena, have 4 children.
Nate Bell
Nate Bell graduated from Cedarville university in Ohio and was called to full-time cross-cultural missions. After several missions trips around the world, and working full time in training baristas for major coffee chains in the States, Nate and his family moved to Somerset West in 2019 and joined the Mountain View family. Nate has been serving as an elder since 2020 and manages the in-house coffee shop, Summit. His mission is to plant a church out from Mountain View, on the Sitari side of Somerset West. He and his wife, Lauren, have 5 children.

Roger Pitot
Roger leads one of the senior Life Groups that meet at the church on Tuesday mornings. He is married to Kathryn.
John Sexton
John currently serves as the treasurer of Mountain View and leads one of the senior Life Groups that meet at the church on Wednesday mornings.
Henno Kriel
Henno oversees the Sunday School ministry along with his wife, Mirrie. Together they have 4 children.
Tanner Chadwick (Not Pictured)
Tanner leads one of our life groups, is actively involved in outreach and is also involved in the music ministry. Tanner is married to Aimee and they have two boys.
Wikus smit (Not Pictured)
Wikus leads one of our life groups, and helps lead our music ministry. Wikus is married to Jacomien, and they have one daughter.
